I almost felt obligated to buy the new Guns N' Roses album being a fan of the band since Appetite for Destruction. Let's face it, the latter album can never be replaced. When I first heard about the new cd with Axl featuring different band members I was hesitant to buy, so I put it off for a while. But every time I walked by an HMV or music store it was there, staring me in the eyes. I think every GNR fan deep inside has a longing for Axl Rose. He represents this bad ass character that we love to hate.
I have to say that Chinese Democracy is definitely a great album. I love it. All the reviews out there seem mixed. I think fans and critics are just scared to really admit how wicked it is:)
And to all those opposed.....hmmmmmpf, well.

I have only heard the first single off the album. But it's good. It definitely sounds like a more modernized version of their older stuff. The new album seems to be gaining two reactions: either you love it or you hate it. Either way, it was pretty much impossible to live up to the hype building up for 17 years.
